A Transformative Day of Learning with the ABRS+ Future Schools Project

Today, we were thrilled to welcome Lisa Ashton (Equicoach.Life) and Jennifer Brown-Watson to spend the day with us as part of the ABRS+ Future Schools Project.

Together, we continued our learning journey into equine mental wellbeing—deepening our understanding of what it truly means to recognise and support good mental health in our horses. At the heart of our discussions was one key question: What would the horse think or feel?

This visit marks the beginning of an exciting and much-needed shift within the equestrian industry—one that places the horse’s perspective at the centre of our practices. With the support of British Equestrian and Sport England, we’re proud to be leading the way in this groundbreaking project.

Our commitment is clear: to listen more closely, communicate more empathetically, and reshape the way we interact with our horses.

As we reflect on today’s powerful insights, we’re energised for what lies ahead. We invite you to join us on this journey of discovery and change. Ask your horse, “Why do you behave the way you do?” You might be surprised by what they’re trying to tell you.

Our horses will thank us for listening.
