Clara has been awarded the Association of British Riding Schools Coach of the Year 2026 – Special Recognition Award, and we truly couldn’t be happier for her.
Stepping forward to lead a completely new approach to coaching is no small feat. Clara has done just that — becoming a powerful advocate for the horse and a guiding voice for positive change.
With humility and openness, she left ego at the door, willingly unlearning outdated riding and handling methods and embracing new, evidence-based approaches. In an industry often rooted in “this is how it’s always been done,” Clara has challenged all of us to think differently — to stay curious, equicentric, and open to growth.
She leads without blame or negativity, grounded in the belief that we don’t know what we don’t know — until we do. And when we do, we do better.
This recognition is so well deserved. Clara is not only raising standards in coaching but is also making a meaningful difference to the lived experience of countless horses.
An incredible achievement — and just the beginning.
