It was lovely to welcome some familiar faces from the local community despite the awful weather.
The team were pleased to spend time with the Mayor of Maidstone, Brian Clark, and Julie from the Stones in the Community, showing them around and sharing more about the work carried out here. They also had the chance to meet the many fuzzy faces who call the place home.
Visits like this are a valuable way to connect with the local community and give people a better understanding of what happens each day. The team is always grateful to those who take the time to visit, ask questions and show an interest in the work.
The best way to understand what happens here is to visit in person. It is almost impossible to capture the atmosphere of the place in a few photographs or on a website. Visitors really need to come along, see it for themselves and meet the animals to get a true sense of what makes it so special.
