We are delighted to announce that we have been named winners of the Animals & Environment in Wellbeing category at the Kent Charity Awards 2026.
The award recognises the positive impact of our work with children and animals, and the role that meaningful relationships with animals and the environment can play in supporting children’s wellbeing, confidence and personal development.
The award was presented at the Kent Charity Awards, which celebrates the achievements of charities and voluntary organisations across Kent and recognises the contribution they make to communities and the lives of others.
For our team, the award represents a very special moment and a wonderful recognition of the work taking place every day.
At the centre of everything we do are the children and animals we work with. Supporting children through their individual journeys — helping them to grow in confidence, recognise their strengths, overcome challenges and believe in themselves — is at the heart of our work.
Much of the impact we see cannot be measured simply by statistics or outcomes. It can be found in the small moments: a child developing trust, trying something they once thought they couldn’t do, forming a connection with an animal, or beginning to see their own potential.
These are the moments that motivate our team every day.
While we never do this work for recognition, having that impact acknowledged through the Kent Charity Awards is incredibly meaningful. It provides an opportunity to celebrate not only our organisation, but the children and families we support, the animals at the heart of our work, and the dedicated team behind everything we do.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved in the Kent Charity Awards for bringing together and celebrating the incredible charities and organisations working across Kent.
Most importantly, we want to thank our children, animals, families, team members and supporters. This award belongs to every person and animal who is part of our journey.
